Clarentia Prameta was born in Jakarta and learned music from an early age. Beginning with piano lessons in Yayasan Pendidikan Musik (YPM) until 3rd Pre-Conservatory level, she later developed bigger interest in singing when she joined Twilite Chorus’ “A Musical Moment” tour in several cities as the youngest soloist. She then continued her journey in music by studying classical singing under the tutelage of Joseph Kristanto Pantioso.
Through the years she had performed in various concerts as soloist such as Grieg Recital (2010), Magnificat – John Rutter (2011), Tembang Puitik Trisutji Kamal (2011), “New Year’s Concert with Principals of Symphonia Vienna Orchestra” (2012), and held vocal recital of her own; “Clarentia” in 2013. She also participated in masterclasses, some of which are by Emily Good Perkins and Bettina Jensen.
Clarentia has developed her interest in literature and theater from her high school years as well, majoring in Languages (English, German and French) and pursued Bachelor study of English Education in Atmajaya University, Jakarta, where she studied both linguistic and literature. During this period she had been involved in producing Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" and acting in Tennessee Williams' "Glass Menagerie".
Since 2013, she has been studying solo vocal performance under the tutelage of Maria Loidl in Vienna Conservatory, Vienna, Austria. While actively performing in concerts, she also contributes to several educative projects in Indonesia.
Clarentia recently held her vocal recital titled “Cerita dari Wina” (Stories from Vienna) in 2016.
